PETZL BASIC

DESCRIPTION

The Basic is a compact ascender from Petzl. It has excellent grip and fits well in the hand for ascending rope. The lower attachment hole is large enough to accept two carabiners for the lanyard and the footloop. The stainless steel, toothed cam resists corrosion and with its self-cleaning slot, optimizes performance under any condition, including frozen or muddy ropes. Canyoneers prefer using the Basic for ascending for its ability to glide over rock edges.
