Wilcox MP7 Rail Chassis Replacement Forend for HK MP7(A1) PDW

Heckler & Koch is known for delivering arguably the best sub machine gun and PDW platforms in the world. Their long pedigree of sub guns has been the choice of military and law enforcement special operations units for decades. One of their latest designs, the MP7(A1) Personal Defense Weapon (PDW) has quickly gained a lot fans, especially in the NSW community. It is compact, easily concealable, fires a new lightweight round that allows operators to carry exponentially more ammo for the same weight as traditional loads, and has almost no felt recoil. Like the legacy MP5 and UMP series, the MP7 is great for close quarters work.

At the request of the NSW community, Wilcox Industries developed the MP7 Rail Chassis which gives operators added capability for mounting weapon accessories at the 6 o’clock. The MP7(A1) comes with a built-in folding vertical foregrip that must be removed before installing the Wilcox MP7 Rail Chassis. After the grip is removed, the Rail Chassis mounts to the host weapon by removing the existing 3 o’clock and 9 o’clock rail screws, positioning the chassis on the gun, and reattaching the hardware. The MP7 Rail Chassis creates a rock solid platform for attaching modular vertical foregrips, lights, lasers, etc. This increased capability is much appreciated over the existing folding grip which is a bit small and unstable.

Attaching a non-folding vertical grip to the MP7(A1) is only recommended when the PDW is being used as a primary weapon. Otherwise, the non-folding grip makes the weapon harder to conceal overall.

The Wilcox MP7 Rail Chassis works very well in conjunction with Wilcox MP7 Side Rails (sold separately).

(22 CFR Parts 120-130) regulate Wilcox products.
