The top level of the Armor Firearms & Training Shooter Ladder. About 60 minutes: a 15-question written test and an oral teach-back, then 30 timed rounds from 3 to 10 yards, including one-hand shooting, a precision card, a reload and a malfunction clear. Pass with 27 of 30 and you earn a numbered Gold certificate and a Gold Shooter T-shirt. Eligibility: Silver, 6 more credits earned after Silver, and at least 90 days since Silver. Bring your own gun and about 35 rounds, or rent one. Eye and ear protection required, and an e-sign waiver must be on file. Any unsafe act ends the test. NW Leon County, FL.
